Are you a tech startup?
You’ll want to get featured in TechCrunch.
Are you a T-shirt startup?
You’ll want to reach out to fashion bloggers with large audiences.
Are you creating a new line of badass smoothie blenders?
Email a few healthy eating bloggers.
Whatever your product or service, chances are there is someone out there who will blog about it (as long as it’s awesome and serves their purpose / audience as well).

If you’re launching a new makeup line, you want to get in front of makeup fanatics – and quickly!
But aside from killer branding, what sells body care products is being able to TRY and fall in love with them.
If you don’t have the budget or scale for companies like those, you could research smaller companies doing similar things.
Remember: the right influencer could be a total game changer for your business.
So invest time on the front end thinking about how to get in front of other people’s large audiences (rather than how to magically grow yours from zero to millions overnight).
