Meet René Brunet and Cafe 821

I was born and raised in New Orleans. This past summer I opened a french coffee shop in the NOLA CBD. After many years in Quebec, I returned to my home town, the Crescent City, last year. My ‘café’ has a distinctive flare “à la française” offering french classics like croissants, Homemade Waffles, Croque Monsieur, French Onion Soup along with weekly specials like “Cassoulet” (a traditional french dish of white beans & sausage).

Of course, I also serve quality espressos, cappuccinos, lattés and specialty coffees and teas. As an avid francophile, I encourage french associations to congregate at my café, as well as participating in french festivals like The Bastille.

My café is opened for breakfast and lunch weekdays and can cater small events. In off hours, the café is available special events and parties on evenings and weekends.

Come by for a café and a Bonjour
